After relocating to New Jersey in 2009, Tom joined STA Soccer Club, where he served until 2018. He currently coaches ECNL Girls teams at the Players Development Academy (PDA) — widely regarded as the premier girls’ soccer club on the East Coast. In addition, Tom is the Director of Coaching at Chatham United Soccer Club and the Girls Head Varsity Coach at The Pingry School. Under his leadership, his teams have earned numerous New Jersey State Cup titles, Regional Championships, and appearances at National Championships across the country.

Tom’s experience also includes collegiate and semi-professional coaching. He served as the Men’s Assistant Coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), Head Men’s Coach of the Morris County Colonials in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), and Head Coach of the Jersey Blues in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
He holds multiple advanced coaching qualifications, including the NSCAA Premier License, USSF B License, UEFA B License, NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeping Diplomas, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Fitness Studies. A dedicated athlete himself, Tom is also a CrossFit Level 1 Certified Coach and an avid CrossFit enthusiast.
Originally from England, Tom began his coaching career with Arsenal FC and Fulham FC, as well as his hometown clubs, Maidstone United and Vinters Park. His international coaching journey has taken him to the Chicago Fire Youth Program in the U.S. and to Sydney, Australia, where he served as Director of Coaching for the Macarthur Rams and worked with the New South Wales Soccer Academy.
Tom currently resides in Long Valley, New Jersey, with his wife, Samantha, and their two daughters, Abigail and Madeleine.
